Optimum Learning Unit

Optimum learning is a program designed to support the education of children with special needs. The program is tailored to each child’s assessed level of ability. We create a curriculum that aims to develop the child’s strengths with an aim to foster a self-sufficient and well rounded individual with the goal of providing the right skills to integrate and succeed in school and their community.

In this department we develop an individualised program for children with special needs . Each child benefits from the specialist support of qualified therapists in the fields of; occupational, speech and behavioural therapy.

Small Class Size

At Silverleaf we believe in creating the right optimum environment to foster your child’s learning experience. We achieve this by adhering to restricting the size of our classrooms.

Smaller Classrooms provide the added benefit of enhanced learning, personalised lesson plans and increased focus.

Amenities

Silverleaf has beautiful and spacious gardens with a well facilitated children’s playground. The school also boasts of a well designed interior with a main focus on creating a welcoming, warm and homely atmosphere for your child. Play areas, consultation rooms and bath facilities are all available.

Consultants

Silverleaf School combines the unique expertise of academic professionals and education consultants to provide a personalised curriculum for your child. This approach is of utmost importance to our children with special needs.

The specialist support aims to build on the child’s learning; offering behavioural intervention and academic support.

Dr Cecilia Watyema

Dr Watyema is a medical doctor with a passion for education. She begun Silverleaf with the goal of creating an integrated space for all children. She has the special skill of developing spaces and recruiting the appropriate personnel to deliver an exceptional academic experience for your child.

Special Education Consultant

Clare Kariisa

M.A Special Needs

Clare Kariisa is a special education consultant delivering an integrated education curriculum for children with special needs.

She provides specialist support for the Optimum Learning Center where she provides: behaviour intervention for the classroom, play therapy, reading, numeracy, literacy support and; academic support with (Curriculum accommodation and modifications).
